There's a new African xylophone in town. A Cameroonian named Francois Nnang has been performing in the subways, and today Famoro and I (Raul) went to go visit him in The Bronx. He is a really nice man, and a wonderful performer. He gave us a demonstration of his instrument, which he made:

Xylophones in Cameroon can be large– like those in Uganda– played by multiple musicians. It is played by the Ewondo people.
if you produce a CD of this guy's music, it will sell. i experienced his music for the first time last night in the subway in union square and crowds were gathering in awe. i was so in awe that i spent an hour and a half searching the internet tonight until i found out who francois nnang is. please, make his CD! I will buy it, along with many many others!
